Planning, Programming and Coordination Unit (PPKB)

PPKB is responsible for the overall coordination of the relations and cooperation the Agency builds with its partners and stakeholders; overall coordination and management of the preparation and implementation processes of the regional development plan and similar strategies of the Agency. Main tasks of PPKB are as follows:

  • Preparation of Regional Development Plan
  • Preparation of Operational Programs (OPs)
  • Preparation of Annual Working Plan and Budget of the Agency
  • Preparation of Interim Activity Reports and Annual Activity Report of the Agency
  • Collection of data related to İzmir, composing a database and updating it
  • Technical support to local administrations related to planning activities
  • Monitoring the projects implemented by regional authorities (public sector, private sector and NGOs) which are important in the frame of regional plans & programs
  • Promoting development strategy and vision of İzmir at local, national and international levels
  • Promotion and participation of the Agency in national and international organizations
  • Coordinating the international relations of the Agency
  • Planning trainings to improve the capacity of project preparation
  • Building a technical capacity among the Executive Board and the Advisory Board   members on the agenda of the Agency
